Everybody hates the US

There is a popular book called “Why Do People Hate America?”. It was published in 2003 and was an international best-seller. The Amazon description goes like this; “This is NOT just another 9/11 book: it is the book for those of us trying to understand why America — and Americans — are targets for hate. Many people do hate America, in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa, as well as in the Middle East. Ziauddin Sardar and Merryl Wyn Davies explore the global impact of America’s foreign policy and its corporate and cultural power, placing this unprecedented dominance in the context of America’s own perception of itself. In doing so, they consider TV and the Hollywood machine as a mirror which reflects both the American Dream and the American Nightmare. ”

For the last 10 years, large parts of American culture has contributed to this hate. In the past, many of us thought of USA as a good place, as good guys. Now the mediamaffia is contributing to pulling USA’s reputation down in the gutter. You know, they sue grandmothers and dead people for downloading music. But not only that, now they demand foreign people to be extradited to the US, even if they have not commited a crime in their home land. I’m not talking about conspiracy to murder or planning terrorism, but having a website with links.

OK, the story is like this; a young man in the UK had a website with links to other websites that contained torrent files of TV shows. This is not a crime in the UK, but it seems to be a crime in USA. So the American mediamaffia has demanded that the guy is extradited to them, and a British judge has ordered that so shall happen. In other words, if you stay with the law in the UK but for some reason your activity isn’t legal in the US, the Americans will grab you and sentence you to jail for up to five years.

Five years in prison for having a website with links to other websites!!!!

Apart from the awful act on the part of the British judge of giving an innocent man over to US executioners, this means that US law applies in every country, at least this is the way the mediamaffia wants it to be. And they are getting their way. Looking at other things than file sharing, everyone should now shiver in their pants;

  • If Dutch people smoke marijuana in coffee shops in Amsterdam (and this is legal in Holland, if you don’t know it), they will now be sent to the US to go to prison because that is illegal in USA
  • If Danes seek up prostitutes and pay for sex (and this is legal in Denmark, if you don’t know it), they will now be sent to the US to go to prison because that is illegal in USA
  • If Germans drive at 200 km/h on the Autobahn (and this is legal in Germany, if you don’t know it), they will now be sent to the US to go to prison because that is illegal in USA
  • If Italian teens drink wine before they are 21 (and this is legal in Italy, if you don’t know it), they will now be sent to the US to go to prison because that is illegal in USA
  • And so on….

USA was once a colony of the UK. It now seems that the UK is a colony of the US. And the rest of Europe is soon to follow!
